High containment sampling valves

This new compact OEL High-Containment sampling device allows the removal of a product sampled under contained conditions.

The OEL (Occupational Exposure Limit) describes the maximum concentration of a drug substance which can be tolerated in the air of the production room without any negative effect to the health of the operators.·

Sampling Valves

Since 1974, FAMAT SAMPLING has developed and manufactured a complete range of “dead zone free” sampling valves, based on the patented EPT® concept: “Expanding Piston Technology“.

Almost the entire FAMAT portfolio is based on this EPT® technology.

The patented system inside this piston allows the outer PTFE layer to expand and ensure a perfect vacuum seal up to the full rated pressure of 10 bar (145 psi).

The advantage of having an expandable piston inside the valve is that it eliminates the need for O-rings, which can be damaged during valve operation and therefore generate contamination/dust for production.

Another great advantage of our design is that, in the closed position, the piston is flush with the inside wall of the tank/pipe, leaving no dead space.
