Key Account Manager (KAM)

II. Responsibilities include for KAM
  • Territory: geographically, we have positions open in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Delhi. ∙ Assume management of all existing sales related activities in territory including; closing existing opportunities, identifying new opportunities in existing accounts and providing sales support for customers requiring High containment solutions apart from other material handling and process equipment.
  • Prepare a list of key accounts, critical projects, and sales strategies to position the AUTOMED proposition.
  • Engage senior technical / engineering/ production personnel (project engineers, production heads, maintenance heads, EHS heads, process manager) in key accounts initially through telephone and/or directed letters with the objectives to discuss specific needs.
  • Prepare a Sales Plan for her/his territory to meet/exceed Sales Budget.
  • Initiate quotation process at each account with specific emphasis on customer needs.
  • Provide an effective time and territory management program for her/his territory.
  • Prepare sales forecast on a monthly basis.
  • Provide clear, effective and up to date communication to the Company management team regarding the status of sales within the territory as well as specific issues and needs to assist and enhance the overall sales process.
  • Work closely with the Management team in managing projects within her/his territory. ∙ Take an active approach towards business development, work closely with National and International Sales people to develop a global strategy for key account management.
  • Assist in the development of additional sales tools to enhance the positioning and selling of AUTOMED core Service packages.
  • Assist in identifying complementary technologies that will provide synergistic sales and marketing opportunities with AUTOMED current proposition.
III. Profile search

The candidate would ideally possess a Degree with a 3+ year experience in selling High End Processes ip ments / solutions to the Pharma, food and cosmetic market.

Since interacting and communicating with diverse groups – customers and AUTOMED departments – are major components of the job, as a Key Account Manager the candidate must have excellent communications skills, Fluency in English is plus, with any two local indian languages. Travelling will be required to client sites throughout her/his territory and consequently the KAM must be a self-starter, independent, detail-oriented and well-organized.

Ideally the candidate will have a business background as the role requires interaction with product development functionaries and customers.

Job Description

The Service Engineer (SE) will be responsible for meeting the daily service maintenance and repair needs of the customer’s equipment. Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers as well as performing necessary administrative duties as required and other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Responsibilities

The SE performs the major functions listed below. The position may require additional duties/responsibilities that may not be outlined below, and specific functions are subject to change.

  • Basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and repair on designated equipment. • Completing Preventative Maintenance and field modifications.
  • Ordering and managing repair parts cycle times.
  • Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up. • Maintaining tools and test equipment and ensuring they are properly calibrated. • Utilizing the escalation process to resolve customer service delivery issues.
  • Identifying and participating in sales opportunities such as new contracts, contract renewals and system sales.
  • Working as a member of the local team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within assigned area.
  • The ability to lift and carry a toolbox that can weigh up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications & Requirements

The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to successfully perform this role. However, any equivalent combination of experience, education and training, which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities, would be acceptable, subject to any legal and/or regulatory requirements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any other relevant field where he/she is working in. A technical training or an associate degree would be preferred. Previous experience in the service industry would also be beneficial.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • Proficient level of computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Existing Product Portfolio:

  • To create and design 3D modules, 2D Drafting, manufacturing drawings and other schematics for machine on Solid Works software.
  • To develop simulation to demonstrate designed equipment’s functionality to customers.
  • Develop manufacturing processes for abovesaid designs, for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing.
  • To develop/perform simulation of Sheetmetal fabrication, assembly & guide the team in manufacturing process.
  • To develop Mechanical/Hydraulic/Pneumatic/Electrical BOM & assist the team in generating costing/ estimation for each equipment developed.

New Development

  • To research and develop new ideas and prototypes to create and build for our company.
  • Understand customer requirements, challenges & come up with prototype solutions to improve process efficiency/safety standard.
Candidate Profile & Skill:
  • Proficiency in solid works Design Software with good knowledge on reading manufacturing drawings, specifications, materials standards and material quality.
  • Ability to reverse engineer an equipment by understanding its functionality, key control parameters. Previous experience in redesigning a product to meet specific customer requirement or meet international export standards is a plus.
  • Knowledge of engineering parts, assembly drawings, understanding of dimensioning, tolerance, limits, fits etc.
  • Knowledge of Pneumatic, Hydraulic control systems.
  • 2-5 Years of experience in a manufacturing organization in design department.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Associated Area.
  • Prior experience of working with Material handling equipment/Pharma sector equipment manufacturer although not mandatory, will be helpful.
